The agreement of Tongguang Technology and Shanghai Jiaotong University to jointly build a joint laboratory of '3D printing absorbable orthopaedic implants' was officially signed on December 19, 2018.

The '3D printing absorbable orthopaedic implants' project, with the help of the company's overseas biomedical materials research and development team, closely cooperates with Dai Qirong, academician of the orthopaedic department of the Ninth People's Hospital affiliated to Shanghai Jiaotong University, and Professor Wang Jinwu's team, and strives to obtain the first CFDA registration certificate in the product field as soon as possible, so as to promote the technological progress of biomedical materials in China and benefit the majority of orthopaedic patients.

 The technology of '3D printing absorbable orthopaedic implants' is at the international leading level. The implant materials developed by the company's overseas technical team have been registered by the US FDA for the first time. Tongguang Technology will introduce the latest technology into China. Through the joint laboratory with Shanghai Jiaotong University, it will actively carry out research and testing on the properties of 3D printing absorbable orthopaedic implant materials, animal tests and human clinical trials, Build a production base that meets the requirements of the GMP quality management system for Class III medical devices, and start the CFDA registration of orthopedic implant products.

The joint laboratory project has been highly valued by leaders at all levels of Kunshan City. Secretary Du Xiaogang and Deputy Secretary Zhang Yuelin of Kunshan Municipal Party Committee met with Academician Dai Qirong of Shanghai Jiaotong University, Secretary Gu Wenhua of Bacheng Town and Mayor Wang Ye led teams to Shanghai Jiaotong University and Tongguang Technology to investigate the project on the spot. The contract period of the joint laboratory project is three years.
